Grandpa Is In the Hospital

Grandpa had come over Sunday before Conference and showed us his swollen leg and said he had done a lot of exercising on his stationary bike the day before. We were concerned for him and worried that it was a blood clot. We told him this of course and today, Monday they went to the Dr. The Dr. also thinks it is a blood clot and they admitted him for a few days while they give him blood thinners and hope it dissolves. He is in good spirits and sure he is just fine. Please include them in your prayers if you would. Thanks

Copying Molly's Survey- Because I want to blog and have nothing else

1. What is your occupation? Wife, Mom, Grandma
2. What are the color of your socks now? white, I am often cold and socks help. I have been known to wear them to bed on really cold nights.
3. What are you listening to right now? Silence - except for a "shoot" coming from LaVar trying to wire something that is being hard to do.
4. What was the last thing you ate? Tamales made by Rowena
5. Can you drive a stick shift? Yes! and they are soooo fun. My mom taught me and that was so common then that it was necessary and I am very happy about that now.
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Sienna, or Burnt Umber I just like those names.
7. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Rachel, we speak most days. I love cell phones and talking to the kids.... love it love it!
8. Do you like the person who sent this to you? AAAAh, no one sent it to me, I just copied Molly. Thanks Molly by the way.
9. How old are you today? 57 or 75 which ever, aye Tim?
10. Favorite drink? Berry Juice from Wal-Mart in the cooler section, or Pomergranet
11. What is your favorite sport to watch? Ice Skating but I like watching football (Only BYU with LaVar he knows all about them and tells me interesting things about the players and the coaches. He looks them up everyday and keeps current).
12. Have you ever dyed your hair? HA! yes, once and it turned out very bad, then I went for a perm, and it became so dry and brittle I just cut it off. I dyed it before our move to Hawaii where it faded out and I looked like a clown with TIGHT curls, short orange colored hair. It was truly awful.
13. Pets? I like to claim the neighborhood animals as mine. I like Grandma Cecile's cat Max, and Tyler's Megan, Alyssa's Quincy, Micah's Max, Rachel's cats and Jaim's Monster.... you get the picture.
14. Favorite food? I just love the tomatoe soup, "TACO SOUP" stuff Cecile taught us to make. I never tire of eating that. Tomato juice with chicken broth, water and spices, then you choose, avocado, various cheeses, sunflower seeds, green onions, corn chips and tomatoes if you wish. Great to have with guests because it stretches so far and people can make choices.
15. Last movie you watched? Bogus
16. Favorite Day of the year? Christmas, selected beautiful days in Spring after a hard winter there is nothing like a day filled with warmth, birds, sunshine and daffodils.
17. What do you do to vent anger? sing hymns, I have the luxury to go and sit in my bedroom and ponder and talk it out with myself until it makes sense. Decide what I am afraid of and how to solve that problem. One thing about being older, situations aren't so prevalent to get one angry, so it happens less frequently. Isn't that nice.
18. What was your favorite toy as a child? My baby dolls, and all that came with playing "house".
19. What is your favorite season? Spring! Is Christmas a season.
20. Hugs or kisses? depends on who, its from. Kisses from someone outside my family or very close friends is just weird. Kisses from LaVar, are great but so are his hugs. Hugs can just be wonderful from someone I care about. So many people are just so wonderful!
21. Cherry or Blueberry? Cherry especially juice, but fresh blueberries from Costco are our favorite treat for the drive home from Reno.
25. When was the last time you cried? When Tyler called and told us Tucker was born, no wait, this morning when they were singing "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go" during Conference and I thought of all the times we have moved and that hymn was so pertinent.
30. Favorite Smells? Green Tea soap, well many fancy soaps.....
31. Who inspires you? Patricia Holland, most of the General Conference messages, specially Sister Julie Beck. My children often. LaVar, his mother, depends on what we are considering what one is inspired to do.
32. What are you afraid of? hummm that changes, but angry people still scare me, being careless, and hurting someone's feelings, being alone permenatly.
33. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers? Only IN-and- Out burgers but mostly I avoid them.
34. Favorite car? TOYOTA anything!
35. Favorite cat breed? Calico I think but Rachel's and Greg's cats are so cute what breed of cat are those?
36. Number of keys on your key ring? 4
37. How many years at your current job? 38 in June years and we will be moving.
38. Favorite day of the week? Saturday, LaVar is usually home and we get so much done and it always feels good to rest the next day.
39. How many states have you lived in? 10 didn't count multiple times in Utah, or Virginia.
40. Do you think you're funny? I love a good laugh and sometimes I make myself laugh, but that doesn't make me funny. I find humor in many things and laugh when many people wouldn't I think. I don't laugh out loud at church like some, somehow that just doesn't seem right, but I enjoy the funny things at church. I just smile.
41. Favorite past time? Reading your blogs, and talking on the phone. Wish this was more exotic but just everyday stuff is what I choose to do so I guess that would make it a favorite.

The Things Grandma Has Us Do!

Micah needed help getting boxes to move and so we went on that hunt and had quite the adventure!
"Emma in the Box"

The absolute must was that the dumpster had to not be a food establishment and clean.... Petco met this criteria.

Then it was expressed that the liquor store had the best boxes and they usually kept them...... so off we went....

VEry interesting boxes, pictures of swans, kangaroos etc...

Tumbling towers!

Micah on "the bike" @ D.I.

Is It TODAY? Is It TODAY?? IS IT TODAY??

Oliver told me "Is it today?" meant was it morning and indeed it was Easter Morning!

Grandma's have the best toys!

Micah and Stephanie asked Emmaline to "dog sit" while they went to Virginia on their job search. Both dogs liked to sit near or on anyone who was sitting down.

When Savannah and I went on a special date Tyler and Emmaline planted a garden, parsnips, chard, beets, and radishes.

Emma was such a good dog sitter. Megan wasn't sure she wanted another dog.

Easter Bunny Gifts!

Coloring Easter Eggs! Aunt Georgia even had camo coloring for the eggs.

Savannah colored some beautiful eggs too!

Camo man's hands.

3 Weeks of Random Activities

Sorry it has taken this long to reblog, but the kids in Utah are a very busy group. I hate going for the one reason that now I know some of the things that I am missing! And as usual it is a whole bunch of things. Glad you all have such wonderful things to do and accomplish. Good for you.

Emmaline had a friend invite her to a Masquerade Ball and this is the before picture of that activity.

The ward had a talent show and Savannah made a cake. Tyler showed some art pieces, Emmaline and Savannah both made felt animals and Emma and Oliver read an animal book together. Tyler maybe you could put your video of that. I can't seem to be able to input video, don't know how so many of you can do that.

Emma then made a few more Creations of natural things.

This is what Utahans do on the first day of sun after such a hard and long winter. We stayed outside for a good long time. Sidewalk chalk, wind spinner thing, blankets pillows and wonderful sunshine.

Jaim and Jody brought "Monster" and the children just loved it!!

Helping Mom "BLASTER". We did get this small job done. But of course other things didn't.

Back yard fun! Only in Utah can you just slip outside for a little sliding.

Little Miss Katie ready for church.

Dad did just great without me and did so many things getting ready to leave this house and get it ready to just leave or rent. And for those who maybe don't know yet, we are on our way to Norfolk/ Virginia Beach area about in June. They wanted LaVar there as soon as possible but he has some work related things to finish, and we have the house things ready to finish. Then comes the puzzle about what to do about the reunions...... . We checked the Coloma Resort Website and it looks like some tent spaces (their tents and beds are still available.... it doesn't look too expensive... let us know what you are thinking about for this.
Tammy's plans: You can check out the place, just google 'Coloma Resort' , it looks like a nice place and Cecile says the area is very nice. It is between Auburn and Placerville. Arrangements have been made for us to be there the evening of the (June) 13 ( arrive), all day the 14 (the reunion), and morning of the 15 (leave). Each family has to make their own reservations on the on line site.
Tim I don't think you and Laura are getting the emails are you? Let us know so we can get that corrected if that is the case.
